The 23rd annual Agricultural Show took place in beautiful sunshine at the Amenity Park, Swinford and was officially opened by Marian Harkin MEP. It was the biggest show to date with increased entries in all sections and crowd attendance on the day up on previous years.

On view were the finest livestock, horses, crafts, horticulture exhibits and side attractions. Music on the day was provided by the Blue Grass Band, Padraic McNeela and Mid West Radio's outside broadcast unit.

Swinford Show Society would like to thank Swinford Amenity Park Development Co. for the use of the venue, the sponsors, exhibitors, Swinford business community and finally the public who turned out in great numbers to visit the show.
